Friday 10th June: A normal day in the school

Today we have been having classes at the school of Juszczyna with the Polish students. As the Polish students have different ages and go to different classes, everyone of us had different subjects. In my case, in the first period I had English with the students of the class 2B. The English classes in Poland are similar to the Catalan, but the level is easier, for example some words are in Polish but in our books everything is in English. In the English class we read a text and we made some exercises about it. We also made some listening like in our English classes. After English lesson I had physics class.
The physics classes in Poland are very different to our classes. In Poland theyare more practical, they handle magnets, make experiments to see the pressure of water… while the physics in el Casal consists on solving problems, making equations and calculations. Another difference between Catalan and Polish classes is that in Poland the classes only last forty-five minutes and in Catalonia they last an hour. After the two classes we playd a volleyball match between Catalan and Polish students. Polish students always practice this sport and very hard, so they won the match with difference!
We had lunch at twelve o’clock. We had tomato soup and fish with potato puree. The Polish people are very religious campared with the Catalan and on Fridays they always eat fish instead of meat because Jesus Christ died on a Friday, and on that day they make abstinence of meat.
Finally we finished the day at school making activities about Polish and Catalan expressions with the Polish students.
