5.00 pm-arrival of the Spanish guests at the airport in Katowice-Pyrzowice
Welcome by Mrs Katarzyna Syc, the headmistress of the school in Juszczyna
and a meeting with the host families.
Distribution of the itineraries and some invitations for parents to come to school to an official welcome meeting at school.
Individual programmes prepared by host families.
6 June-Monday
9.00- official welcome meeting with the local authorities, Polish teachers and students and their parents at school in Juszczyna;
-Catalan and Polish anthems,
-introducing Catalan pupils and teachers to the audience,
-short information about the project’s objectives,
-a performance given by Polish students.
10.00 -11.00 - discussion about the project, ”Far Away But Similar” during the meeting of all the students, teachers and parents involved in the project
11.00-12.00- tour of the school in small groups and going for a walk around the nearest area.
12.00-12.30-dinner at school
13.45- 16.00- trip to Międzybrodzie Żywieckie; a journey by a cable railway to the top of the Żar Mountain

11.15- 13.00- group work, discussing the points connected with civil rights, mutual tolerance and respect for the different nations and religions, expressing the students’ images of their partners’ countries
13.00-dinner at school
15.00- Brewery Museum in Żywiec
17.00-18.30- short walk in the park and visiting the Castle in Żywiec
19.00-coming back to Juszczyna
8June- Wednesday
6.40-departure for Oświęcim.
9.00-13.00- a guided tour of the Death Camp(Auschwitz-Birkenau Memorial and Museum).
Film about the Concentration Camp.
Putting the lit candles and flowers under the monument in commemoration of
Martyrdom.
13.15-departure for Bielsko-Biała.
14.30- a cable railway journey to the Szyndzielnia’s Summit.
16.30-17.30- a walk in the old town of Bielsko- Biała.
17.30- return to Juszczyna.
